If you have pets chances are that you have come in contact with fleas at some point. Adult fleas are a nuisance and can cause medical problems including flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), tapeworms, secondary skin irritations. Bites result in an irritation caused by the flea saliva. On adults most bites occur near the ankles and legs. Fleas may transmit illness from rodents to humans as well as transmit parasites to pets.
When we receive a call for fleas we ask that pets be treated by a Veterinarian in conjunction with our service. There also may be some environmental changes around your landscaping that may need to be tended to. View our consumer flea page. This sheet is given to the consumer when we complete a flea service. |
